Blue Photonics Inc. use proprietary crystal growth techniques to produce gallium nitride (GaN) compound semiconductors used in electronic and opto-electronic applications, such as blue laser diodes (LDs), high-power transistors, high-efficiency blue and green light emitting diodes (LEDs), solar-blind photo-detectors.etc.

Among major applications, the blue laser diode will be used in the next-generation DVD player. GaN-based device is also emerging as the front-runner for the future wireless communication. White, blue and green LEDs will be key components in solid-state lighting (US$ 40B market potential).
